We've been doing a lot of talking about email marketing over the last couple of months, and it's not just because we think it's a great way to reach prospects and generate leads. We've seen, among our own clients, an upswing in the amount of time, money, and energy being funneled into email marketing and building email marketing lists, and while we have seen that marketing has been trending toward email marketing, it is nice to see a recent survey from MakretingSherpa confirm our observations.
MarketingSherpa recently conducted an Email Marketing Benchmark Survey for 2012. They surveyed 2,735 marketers to find out where email marketing was being prioritized in this year's marketing plan. The survey found that there is a significant increase in budgets being allocated to email marketing as well as website, social media marketing, and content marketing.

The surveyed marketers reported an expected 54% increase in email marketing budget! With numbers like that, there is no denying that email marketing is on the rise.
